For art just like sport, everyday life essentials such as language are not urgently required. Communication is possible through demonstrating idea with your hands and materials. Creating something out of nothing can be achieved by every individual contributing his or her own little or big piece. This collaborative activity will bring together teacher, coaches, families, delegates with intellectual disabilities and local students to contribute to a banner that will be displayed at TIS even after the event ended to remind the society of how important and simple inclusion is.

This workshop is designed to portray the outstanding strength of the delegates. Specific golf skills such as putting, chipping, pitching will be executed in a competition of all participants with and without disability. It will show clearly the capability of the Special Olympics delegates in certain areas and the interaction will create an inclusion process on a sport and fun basis.

The rhythm, which is music in movement, develops exercise in time and space and thus opens a rich field of motor re-education and a perception of space time functions. This music workshop runs in a fun and inclusive environment and provides access to a creative musical experience for people with an intellectual disability.

With simple materials such as wool and a plastic stencil the delegates with be shown how to create personalized wristbands for them to share with their new made friends and take home. On the physical side the fine motor skills will be improved while this workshop encourages the delegates additionally to express their emotions through preparing those bands for example as presents for their Guardian Player or volunteers.

Exercising the whole body to ensure physical fitness will be the aim of this workshop with the modification to ensure all levels of capability are able to participate. With the knowledge physical strength is clearly linked to ones psychological well being, this activity will additionally give the fun perspective a high importance. Working out together in a group will furthermore enhance the feeling for inclusion for both people with and without intellectual disability.
